Thanks to every one for participating and My Blog Spark for sharing this gift!
I must thank My Blog Spark for this great giveaway and for also sending me one of these gift packs and information on the importance of staying healthy! I got mine today, and absolutely love the package.
What is included? A coupon for a free Yoplait Yogurt, a signed ( yes signed ) copy of Full of Life
by Nancy O'Dell. And, a yoga mat and bag from Yoplait!
And, there will be TWO winners! Yay!
In addition, this couldn't be a better time for this package to come for me! My two college roomies, Monica and Sue, and a friend, Laura, have teamed up on Facebook to lose weight and get in shape together!
We all found that without being held accountable to others, we were falling short of our goals to live healthy and be "fit". And, since we have all started checking in with each other ( even though in different parts of the country ), I am proud to report we have all stuck with it for a week now!
Currently, most of us our doing The Shred
OK..you may be smirking! I understand. A week doesn't sound like very long, BUT for this busy mommy, a week straight of exercising everyday has been an accomplishment for me. In fact, we have not only been checking in, but giving little encouraging facts to each other.
Just today, Monica wrote on the wall to check and make sure we were all taking vitamins for calcium and other nutrients we need! And, that is indeed an important factor for women!
In fact, 72% of Americans do NOT get enough calcium in their diets! And, just as bad, 76% are not getting enough Vitamin D! It is not just about exercising but also getting the need nutrients our bodies need to live long, healthy and productive lives!
And, that is where Yoplait yogurt ( which we eat a lot of in this house ) is wonderful! They are the only leading brand of yogurt that that has both in each serving! 10-20% of your daily value, in fact! Yay!
I also have attached a video from Nancy O'Dell and Yoplait!
So, with that, I am happy to offer this wonderful gift pack!

We eat a salad every day with our dinner (and sometimes just for dinner), plus we drink water continuously!

Our family stays healthy by taking daily walks around our neighborhood with the dog. We also spend about 15-30 minutes working out on the Wii Fit! When we grocery shop we only buy fresh things, without Partially Hydrogenated Oils, High Fructose Corn Syrup, and for my husband, only items that are gluten free!
We are trying to cut out junk foods - artificial dyes, high-fructose corn syrup, and trans fats.
We stay healthy the old fashion way - my hubby and I make a point of walking after dinner most nights.
Whenever possible I buy local, organic, or whole foods. We all make sure we have at least a half hour of moderate activity a day, and we all take whole foods vitamins :)
We are making small baby steps in eating healthier - it is so difficult to eat healthy food with a picky hubby, limited time, and very limited monetary resources!
To stay healthy, we try to stay active & eat on the healthier side. We aren't totally healthy, but I think if you stay active & balance it out, then you can eat a bit of junk food as well (a little, at least)
I would love to win! We count calories and make weekly mileage goals for running so if we feel like only running 2 miles one day - we can make it up by the end of the week. Then we don't beat up on ourselves...
